After competing in my first novice powerlifting competition I knew that this was a sport I wanted to pursue. However, I wasn’t really sure on how to go from here. While trying to program for myself, I would find myself changing things around too often and not sticking to it, this caused a few plateaus in my lifts, which then demotivated me a little. ⠀

This was when I decided to reach out to Callan for coaching and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Callan’s coaching style has helped me stay motivated and accountable in my training. He’s very knowledgeable and I’m constantly learning from him - my lifts have improved so much technically from when I first started. Within the first 16 weeks of training with Callan I achieved lifetime PB’s: 175kg squat, 107.5kg bench and 185kg deadlift.⠀

The overall experience has been fun and I look forward to bringing some big numbers to the platform in the near future. I have set myself a goal to compete at a competitive national level in powerlifting in the next 3-4 years and I believe that this will be achievable under Callan’s guidance.
